RARE EARLY MODEL "C" VICTOR TALKING MACHINE, Complete and Working. This style of the Victor Model "C" was only made for about 1 year, so they are a Very Rare Model to find for sale! This one is a Very Nice Example and it Runs & Plays Well (plays old 78 RPM Records and will even play the 10 ones). It is a nice smaller size machine, for those that don't want something too big. The wood case measures only 10 3/4" x 9 2/3" x 5 tall.
It would be a nice size to put one of the 14 1/2" tall plaster "Nipper" Dogs in front of so that he could listen to "His Master's Voice (HMV). The parts on this machine appear to be all Original, except for the record "hold-down" nut. The horn bell diameter is 9 1/2" and the horn is about 15" long. It has a 7 diameter platter and was the first Victor model that you could wind up while it was running.
It came along shortly after the Victor Model A & B Models, which came right after the Berliner Models. There are two case styles of the Victor Model C. This is the one that uses a wood motor board with the raised wood ring around the platter area. The other style has a raised motor deck that the motor mounts to. If you are looking for a Nice Example of this model, now is your chance to own one!
