Here's a rare variant of early smooth base Phoenix Bitters blown in the Civil War period of the 1860s.... JOHN MOFFAT & COS PHOENIX BITTERS all boldly emb on front panel....

Hand blown in mold, bimal... Early smooth base with straight hinge mold seam.... Excellent shiny nice condition with only one tiny no harm nick on bottom corner; a couple small scratches on plain back panel.

A nice clean bottle with no haze. This bottle is very scarce with the front panel embossing and slope shoulder. We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles to make room for more..
