For sale we have a early to mid 1800's Huge Yellow Ware or Yelloware Mochaware or Mocha Pitcher in excellent untouched original condition with no issues. The Pitcher is huge at approx. 8 1/2 high and approx. 10 1/2 from spout to handle and is in a nice attractive round barrel form.
The pitcher is footed with a blue highlight ring. The body has has thick blue, brown and white bands. The colors are bright and vivid. The form is scarce and attractive and has an impressive look.This pitcher appears to be engine turned. The handle and spout are in untouched excellent condition. There are no condition issues other than some factory flaws that are in the making. The inside of the pitcher is bright and glossy with no wear scratches. There are no chips, cracks, spider lines, deep wear or scratches. There are no stains or restorations on this piece. We only see one glaze skip or pop on the side of the pitcher and some blue glaze skips on the blue ring on the base.
There is some crazing on the handle of the pitcher and we did not see any other areas having crazing. We mention this for accuracy sake. This Pitcher is a great survivor in very nice untouched impressive condition and would make a great addition or upgrade to a collection. This pitcher shimmers when displayed in any light.
