We have a rare blue and white swirl design stoneware salt glazed coffee pot with a drip glaze. The Coffee pot is all original complete and untouched with the matching original lid. This pot has been used and it is a nice survivor.
We date the teapot to the early 1900's and was produced in the Ohio region. The coffee pot had a bright glossy finish with blue specks and pin wheel glaze designs throughout the pot giving it a primitive look. The blue color is deep and rich throughout the pot and lid. There is a large raised block or window design around the top of the pot. The overall condition is nice with no chips, stains color touch ups or repairs on the lid or coffeepot. The lids holders on the inside of the top are in great condition as is the handle and the spout. The only issues on the pot are a very primitive glaze with those unique pin wheel designs and some crude areas on the finish of the pot that are in the making from the firing process. There are two tight lite lines on the pot see when examined in bright light. On is on the bottom side that is vertical and is approx. There is also one horizonal line that follows the bottom of the pot that is approx. 1 1/2 We pictured both these areas. The lid and its finial are in crude perfect condition. The overall height is approx. 9 3/4 and the body from spout to handle is approx. What a nice rare survivor for your collection or a nice gift for a collector of blue and white stoneware.
