This is a very rare and unusual Crosley petite antique radio model 172, which is written on the metal back. The radio works and there is a hole at the bottom where the light shines through to let you know the radio is turned on. I could not find this exact model number on the internet but the model 173 is sort of similar and it was manufactured in 1934. There are two shinny and attractive metal bezels and the one on the left says Crosley and the one on the right says Dual Casa. The case has been redone by a professional woodworker at Rockler Woodworking.

The wood worker wanted to make it special by putting Burl wood on the case that previously had some damage. Its a fairly good job but there is still a few small cracks and visible wear but overall it looks very nice and it is now a very unique piece. The speaker cloth and the AC cord are both good. The cut outs over the speaker add to the charm and design of this very petite antique radio.

There is a black bottom border which sets off the design. And there are carved out wood air vents on the top. The sides have a stepped wood design that makes the case design more attractive.

There is a medal back still intact with the model number and manufacture Crosley company. There are two original knobs. Everything looks fairly original to me but one can never be completely sure. Please carefully examine all the pictures for details as I cannot describe every detail and don't hesitate to ask a question. Antique radios should be treated with care as the electronics are delicate and I can only tell you the condition as listed but cannot be held responsible for any damage after the sale.

The radio weighs only 7.75 lbs. And measures 10.75 inches wide, 8 tall, 5.25 deep. Please check out my excellent reviews on packing.
