This beautiful antique clock has been in the family for many years. It belonged to my relatives that had settled near Ann Arbor, Michigan. The last time it was in actual use would have been in the 1950's.
In Aunt Elvira's Chelsea Flower Shop / Greenhouse office. There is a repair label still attached to the back of the clock that says. I do not know if this clock works as. It has been in storage for many years and then went missing. A couple of years ago. Classic "Ironing Board" flat top. 39" tall x 22.5" wide x 8.25 deep. Some of the orignial interior wallpaper is gone. A few pieces lay in the bottom.Some water stains, bottom glass or mirror gone. Really dusty and the dark wood needs a good cleaning / restoration.
But face is beautiful / still has the Roman Numerals & one hand. Interior bells and mechanicals, top blue and gold reverse-painted glass. 2 heavy cylinder weights, a winding key. Pendulum and a couple of circular weight cord pulleys.
With sun and moon and "Auburn Patent" on them. If you are up to the challenge of a restoration. Will have to come and pick it up - we are in SE Michigan.

By the mid 1820's, Munger had settled on one basic style. A large, flat topped one door case featuring. Fully carved half-columns on either side of the door. The top board of the early versions typically had fluted edges. Later versions had rounded or flat edges.
The doors invariably contained a mirror (looking glass). In the lower tablet, and at the top a round dial framed. By either reverse painted spandrels or a decorated zinc. Surround secured in the door. The dial was attached by posts to the front plate of the movement.Typical features of most Munger clocks. From the first to the last include interiors. Lined with flamboyant wallpaper, square printed labels.
