Condition is Used as shown. For your consideration is a very early RARE Purple SCHUCO MOHAIR MONKEY POWDER COMPACT dating from the 1920's. Made in Germany, this jointed monkey opens by removing the head. Inside you will find a mirror (in very good condition with just a few black spots) Sone original powder still inside as well. Also, in the neck of the monkey is a tiny removable refillable lipstick tube. It's such an innovative and cute little item that was all the rage in the Roaring 20's! Condition for its age is really great...

There is almost no mohair loss and the pink color is still rich and vibrant! Some slight wear to felt face but not bad at all. All felt appendages are intact and in good shape as shown.
